Summer Family Meal Program

The Francois Foundation for Autism is proud to launch its new Summer Family Meal Program, a community-based initiative designed to help combat food insecurity among children and families throughout Delaware. During the summer months, many families lose access to school meal programs and face increased financial challenges. Our program provides nutritious meals, pantry staples, fresh produce, and supportive resources to help ensure that children have access to healthy food while school is out of session. We believe that no child should have to worry about where their next meal will come from, and no family should have to choose between food and other basic necessities.

Through this program, we will serve families across New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties, with a goal of supporting 600 families, impacting 1,800 children, and distributing more than 4,800 nutritious meals throughout the summer. Beyond food assistance, the Summer Family Meal Program is about creating hope, strengthening communities, and supporting families with compassion and dignity. Together with our donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners, we are building a healthier future where every child has the opportunity to thrive and enjoy a hunger-free summer.
